Summary

Zoey, High Priestess in training, has managed to settle in at the House of Night and come to terms with the vast powers the Vampyre Goddess Nyx has given her. Just as she finally feels she belongs, the unthinkable happens: human teenagers are being killed, and all evidence points to the House of Night. While danger stalks the humans from Zoey’s old life, she begins to realize that the very powers that make her so unique might also threaten those she loves.

Review

This book was definitely good. It had you on your toes guessing what would happen next. It was exciting and entertaining. It was scandalous.

The book was written well. It recapped the first book well and didn’t linger too much about explaining what had happened, it was easy to read and hard to put down.

There were definitely a few twists and I definitely found myself being shocked a few times. Although the huge reveal wasn’t a reveal really because the reader already knew it, it was weird Zoey thinking it was a reveal because the reader thought she would have known it too. Put two and two together or something…

I liked the first book better but the first book of a series is usually better. That doesn’t mean that this book wasn’t good! Because it was.
