On The List #2

On The List

On the List‘ are posts where I will feature books that I have on my To Be Read list! The list just gets longer and longer every week. So I decided I wanted to share with you books that are on my TBR list that I might not exactly be reviewing straight away or any time soon! Or I might review them next week, who knows!

Books I have decided to share On The List this week are:

Unravelling by Elizabath Norris

24 meets the X Files in the biggest teen blockbuster of the summer…

Leaving the beach, seventeen-year-old Janelle Tenner is hit head on by a pickup truck.

And killed.

Then Ben Michaels, resident stoner, is leaning over her. And even though it isn’t possible, she knows Ben somehow brought her back to life…

Meanwhile, Janelle’s father, a special agent for the FBI, starts working on a case that seems strangely connected to Ben. Digging in his files, Janelle finds a mysterious device – one that seems to be counting down to something that will happen in 23 days and 10 hours time.

That something? It might just be the end of the world. And if Janelle wants to stop it, she’s going to need to uncover Ben’s secrets – and keep from falling in love with him in the process…

Evermore by Alyson Noel

Since a horrible accident claimed the lives of her family, sixteen-year-old Ever can see auras, hear people’s thoughts, and know a person’s life story by touch.   Going out of her way to shield herself from human contact to suppress her abilities has branded her as a freak at her new high school—but everything changes when she meets Damen Auguste . . .

Ever sees Damen and feels an instant recognition.  He is gorgeous, exotic and wealthy, and he holds many secrets.  Damen is able to make things appear and disappear, he always seems to know what she’s thinking—and he’s the only one who can silence the noise and the random energy in her head.  She doesn’t know who he really is—or what he is.  Damen equal parts light and darkness, and he belongs to an enchanted new world where no one ever dies.

Delirium by Lauren Oliver

Before scientists found the cure, people thought love was a good thing. They didn’t understand that once love — the deliria — blooms in your blood, there is no escaping its hold. Things are different now. Scientists are able to eradicate love, and the government demands that all citizens receive the cure upon turning eighteen. Lena Holoway has always looked forward to the day when she’ll be cured. A life without love is a life without pain: safe, measured, predictable, and happy.

But with ninety-five days left until her treatment, Lena does the unthinkable: She falls in love.

Hmm the model on Delirium reminds me of the model on the ‘Glow’ cover that I posted on this weeks Favourite Cover Friday. I only think that because of the Angelina Jolie look-a-like lips!

What’s ‘On Your List’? What books have you just added to be read?

  1. I read Evermore years ago in a Barnes and Noble when they still had couches in their stores. I finished it in 2 hours… not because it was good but because I kept skimming… so hopefully you like it better than me. Like lots better. I think I will try Delirium over again… just couldn’t get into it the first time around… maybe it was my mood, which is very possible…

I found a few at my library which I thought were interesting based on the insert flap… iBoy by Kevin Brooks, Department 19 by Will Hill and Girl Parts by John M. Cusick…

    • Hmm ohh dear, the plot certainly sounds interesting so I too hope I enjoy it! Maybe if I go in with lower expectations then? Haha. Ah yes, I have not enjoyed books purely because I was in a bad mood or felt like reading a different genre. Delirium doesn’t really call to me like other books but people keep suggesting I read it so I’m willing to give it a go.

Iboy does sound interesting! Admittedly I did start laughing when I read the summary on good reads just now. I could see this cheesy movie trailer running through my mind as I read it! It makes me want to check it out.
