On The List #5

On The List

On the List‘ are posts where I will feature books that I have on my To Be Read list! The list just gets longer and longer every week. So I decided I wanted to share with you books that are on my TBR list that I might not exactly be reviewing straight away or any time soon! Or I might review them next week, who knows!

Books I have decided to share On The List this week are:

Bloodlines by Richelle Mead

The first book in Richelle Mead’s brand-new teen fiction series – set in the same world as Vampire Academy.

When alchemist Sydney is ordered into hiding to protect the life of Moroi princess Jill Dragomir, the last place she expects to be sent is a human private school in Palm Springs, California. But at their new school, the drama is only just beginning.

Populated with new faces as well as familiar ones, Bloodlines explores all the friendship, romance, battles and betrayals that made the #1 New York Times bestselling Vampire Academy series so addictive – this time in a part-vampire, part-human setting where the stakes are even higher and everyone’s out for blood.

I loved Richelle Mead’s Vampire Academy so I am super excited to read her next series set in the same world Bloodlines! I actually bought this book when it first came out, I just haven’t read it yet because I know I will want to read the next one straight away. I might refresh my mind be skimming through the last Vampire Academy book just in case!

Glitch by Heather Anastasiu

In the Community, there is no more pain or war. Implanted computer chips have wiped humanity clean of destructive emotions, and thoughts are replaced by a feed from the Link network.

When Zoe starts to malfunction (or “glitch”), she suddenly begins having her own thoughts, feelings, and identity. Any anomalies must be immediately reported and repaired, but Zoe has a secret so dark it will mean certain deactivation if she is caught: her glitches have given her uncontrollable telekinetic powers.

As Zoe struggles to control her abilities and stay hidden, she meets other glitchers including Max, who can disguise his appearance, and Adrien, who has visions of the future. Both boys introduce Zoe to feelings that are entirely new. Together, this growing band of glitchers must find a way to free themselves from the controlling hands of the Community before they’re caught and deactivated, or worse.

In this action-packed debut, Glitch begins an exciting new young adult trilogy.

Glitch sounds so awesome! I am so excited for this book to come out! I found this book last month and was really disappointed to find out that it comes out in August because I just can’t wait to read it.

Born Wicked by Jessica Spotswood

Everybody knows Cate Cahill and her sisters are eccentric. Too pretty, too reclusive, and far too educated for their own good. But the truth is even worse: they’re witches. And if their secret is discovered by the priests of the Brotherhood, it would mean an asylum, a prison ship—or an early grave.

Before her mother died, Cate promised to protect her sisters. But with only six months left to choose between marriage and the Sisterhood, she might not be able to keep her word… especially after she finds her mother’s diary, uncovering a secret that could spell her family’s destruction. Desperate to find alternatives to their fate, Cate starts scouring banned books and questioning rebellious new friends, all while juggling tea parties, shocking marriage proposals, and a forbidden romance with the completely unsuitable Finn Belastra.

If what her mother wrote is true, the Cahill girls aren’t safe. Not from the Brotherhood, the Sisterhood—not even from each other.

I first saw this book in the book store a couple of months ago, it sounded really interesting but alas I could not afford to buy it. So I requested it from the library. That was two months ago and the ‘Hold’ line on the book is still long! So it must be a really good book for so many people wanting to read it!

What’s ‘On Your List’? What books have you just added to be read?

  1. Ha. I was actually contemplating getting Vampire Academy a few weeks ago… I ended up going with another book. :/ Think I should get Vampire Academy next week. I also think Born Wicked would be a good read. Anyhow, thanks for the post! :)

    • Ohh exciting! Glitch just sounds really awesome, I love science fiction so I can’t wait to read it!

Fair enough! I feel like that with The Mortal Instruments. But I’m determined to try and read City of Bones again because I really want to like those books :/

  2. Glitch sounds pretty neat. I’d never heard of it before, so thanks for bringing it to my attention! I got a hold of, and am looking forward to reading The Druid by S. G. Rogers. I’ve loved her others, so hope the same here. :) Have a good one and enjoy the books.
