What I’m Reviewing #4

What I'm ReviewingThese are posts letting you know what books I am reviewing next. This gives you an idea of what to expect.
——————————————————————————————————–
Did Not Finish:
I could not finish Outside In by Maria V. Snyder. I felt like Trella was extremely annoying and immature and about 100 pages in I realised I really couldn’t struggle through reading that any more. So I skimmed the rest of the book to find out what happened.

Just a note: This book felt like it was for an older audience. It was bordering on Adult in the romance sections in my opinion, it wasn’t quite adult though, I was very surprised actually.

Note:
You may have noticed that I’ve changed these posts to ‘What I’m Reviewing‘. That’s because I schedule these posts in advance so by the time they come out I’ve already read more than half of the books and I’ve scheduled the reviews in advance. I’ve decided to do this so if life gets in the way and I find I don’t have time to write posts that need to be up that week it doesn’t matter as the deadline is a week or two away!
I feel this is also good because then I have a chance to sit on the book for a while (Not literally!) so I can just come back and update my review if I feel the need, that way the review that comes out is my absolute final opinion and not just the emotions from the heat of the moment after just having finished reading the book!

Now-

Here’s what I’m reviewing next:

Under the Never Sky by Veronica Rossi
Everyone seems to love this book so I decided I wanted to give it a go.

Illuminate by Aimee Agresti
I’m not sure what this one is about but I wanted to give it a go because of all of the good reviews I’ve read.

A Witch in Winter by Ruth Warburton
This one sounds interesting, I wasn’t 100% sure what this one was about before deciding to pick it up.
The Selection by Kiera CassDivergent by Veronica RothCity of Bones by Cassandra Clare
The Selection by Kiera Cass
I’ve wanted to read this book for such a long time now! I was pretty excited to finally get to it in my TBR pile!

Divergent by Veronica Roth
Eek I finally got to read this book!

City of Bones by Cassandra Clare
I tried to read this book at the beginning of the year but failed. I just couldn’t get stuck into it and the endless descriptions were tedious to get through. I’m determined to finish this book though and read the whole series. So now that I’ve put it on this post, I HAVE to read it! Here’s hoping I will be in the mood to tackle all the things I did not like the first time round!

A few dystopians and a lot of paranormal in this selection. I’m super excited to read all of these books!! I hope you’re looking forward to the reviews :)

  1. I am always looking for stories on witches… I think for YA they are under represented… I never heard of A Witch in Winter and it sounds like to can be very good or very bad… haha it’s added! I’ll wait and see what you say on Divergent and City of Bones (I have read both) before I’ll say anything else. The other’s I’m only courious about because others have loved them (meaning I have no interest but only the fact that other people seem to like them)…

    • Same here! I don’t know that many YA books on witches so I love discovering new ones.

Loved Divergent. A lot. And City of Bones was incredibly hard to get into but the last half was its life saver for me.

Haha some of the others were pretty good, others not so much! You will see soon!
