Q: Christmas in July! Someone gives you a gift card for two books (whatever that costs). What two books will you buy?

A: Hahaha this is a hard one because I’ve seriously nearly pre-ordered all the books that I’m dying to own! Well by ‘all’ I mean at least four books… Plus around ten or so that have been out for a while but I’ve only just ordered now.
I went on a book buying spree on The Book Depository… I really don’t know why, my bank account is suffering poorly for it… No book buying for a while from me I think :(

There are a few that I have not yet bought. I’m going to assume pre-orders are all right as answers?

Breathe by Sarah Crossan

– This book sounds pretty awesome. I really want it but I haven’t bitten the bullet and pre-ordered it. I think I’m waiting to read a few reviews on it before I decide to get it.

The one thing that I hate is when you buy a book thinking it will be awesome but then it turns out to be much lass awesome. I have done that quite a few times in my life!

Do you ever go through periods of loving one particular genre so you constantly want to read that genre? But then you get tired of that genre because that’s all you’ve been reading? Well at the moment, dystopian is that genre for me! I can’t seem to get enough of it!

Throne of Glass by Sarah J. Maas

– Everyone raves about this book! It sounds pretty awesome so I definitely want a copy to own! I really don’t know how I forgot about this one on my book buying spree :/

What two books would you buy?

Miss J

  1. Great picks! Both are on my wishlist! :D
Thanks so much for stopping by – new follower via email! :)

    • I do remember seeing your review for that and noticing it was a low rating. I did decide to wait to read your review because I really want to read the book so thought I would read your review afterwards and see what you thought of it :)

I find with books I really want to read I always stay clear of reviews and things so my opinion isn’t ‘tainted’ when I come to read it. That way I can enjoy it – or not enjoy it – on my own opinions. If that makes sense?

But then with books I’m not that excited about or on the fence about or even not very interested in reading, I love reading reviews for those books because the reviews are the deal breaker on whether I will pick it up or not.

  2. Great picks! I’d love both of those :P The reviews for Throne Of Glass haven’t been as good as I expected though “/ Really looking forward to reading Breathe especially now (:
