What I’m Reviewing #5

What I'm ReviewingThese are posts letting you know what books I am reviewing next. This gives you an idea of what to expect.
Did Not Finish:
I could not finish reading Illuminate by Aimee Agresti. I found the pacing of the beginning very slow so I lost interest at about page 50, pushed my way to around page 100 then decided I really couldn’t keep reading because I had over 400 pages to go and I was bored. A shame because I had really wanted to like it and there are so many people that love it!
Alas that book was not for me.

Last reviewed:
Under the Never Sky by Veronica Rossi (Loved it!)
A Witch in Winter by Ruth Warburton (A little disappointing)
The Selection by Kiera Cass (A fun read)
Divergent by Veronica Roth (Absolutely amazing!)
City of Bones by Cassandra Clare (So glad I pushed my way through this one!)

I enjoyed every book that I ended up reviewing this time around which is great!

What I’m reviewing next:

Vampire Diaries: The Fury and Dark Reunion by L. J. Smith
I wasn’t a fan of the first two books in this series but I really wanted to find out what happened next.

Firelight by Sophie Jordan
I suddenly had the urge to get this out from the library because I wanted to see how a book written about dragons could be done.

Spellbound by Cara Lynn Shultz
I really wanted to read this one because it’s been on my to be read list all year.

Hex Hall by Rachel Hawkins
This is another book that I really wanted to read because it’s been on my to be read list all year. I really need to start making my way through that list!

Grave Mercy by Robin LaFevers
I’m rather surprised that I got this out from the library so quickly. I put it on my to be read list only because most reviews of this book are saying how good it is but I didn’t expect to read it so soon. I honestly think I just wanted to see what all the fuss was about. I’m expecting a very good book!

Vampire Diaries – The Return: Nighfall by L. J. Smith
I honestly keep reading this series because I love the show so much that I need to finish reading the books. Even if I’m not enjoying them that much. At least I will know what happened in the books and can say as much!
I am pretty excited to be reading and reviewing these next! I’m steadily making a start through my to be read list but I have noticed that every time I finish reading and reviewing a book, three more replace it… To be read lists are never ending. I swear. They will end when books stop being written. And I’m sure that would never happen!
The world would have to end before that happened. And even then, people would be writing their stories of the world ending…
Moving on…
What books are you excited to read next?
Miss J

  1. Those all look great! Most of them are on my TBR list! Haven’t read Vampire Diaries, though I’m a fan of the CW series. And I LOVED Grave Mercy. Hopefully you will too! :D Happy Reading! :D

    • The VA books aren’t that good in my opinion :/ The T.V. show is so much better, the T.V. series is actually pretty loosely based off of the books, and I am so glad for that!

Ohh I just finished Grave Mercy and it was GREAT! My review will be up in a week or so :D

  2. Hi – I am captivated by The Map of Time by Felix de Palma – want to finish it but don’t if you see what I mean? Also found The Host by Stephanie Meyer to be leagues above the vampire stuff! It would make an incredible movie to. Happy reading.
Author of Rumble’s First Scare & Smashwords soon to be released The Rython Kingdom.

    • Oh great, I haven’t heard of The Map of Time but I will have to look it up. Ohh interesting about The Host! I actually have never read that.

      Thanks for stopping by!

  3. It looks like you’ve been busy… I loved Firelight and Divergent! The Mortal Instruments series is one of my faves out there, so I’m glad you kind of started liking it toward the end. I just love Jace. I’m kind of an addict that way.

    • I loved Divergent! I have yet to read Firelight but will be doing so soon. I really hope the second book of TMI is way better, I have heard it is though. Although someone told me I should read The Clockwork Prince first.
