Showcase Sunday #7

Showcase SundayThe aim of Showcase Sunday is to highlight our newest books or book related swag and to see what everyone else has received for review, borrowed from libraries, bought in bookshops or downloaded on to eReaders each week. Hosted by Books, Biscuits and Tea.

This week I received all of the books I ordered when I went on my book buying spree the other week… Well minus the pre-orders. So here they are!

Delirium by Lauren Oliver
Pandemonium by Lauren Oliver
Dead and Gone by Charlaine Harris
Dead in the Family by Charlaine Harris
Dead Reckoning by Charlaine Harris
Deadlocked by Charlaine Harris
Half Blood by Jennifer L. Armentrout
Pure by Jennifer L. Armentrout

A few of them came with damaged covers :( Whyy are the Sookie Stackhouse books such ugly colours of yellow?! (Minus Deadlocked, that’s a nice yellow). I do not understand!

I have so many unread books on my bookshelf right now. And I definitely now have no more room! How I wish I could fit a proper bookcase in!

What books did you add to your shelves this week?

Miss J

  1. Yeah, I was thinking those were odd covers for Charlaine’s books! Know there’s different covers for them all over the place, but those are kind of blah! And the colors are kind of blah too. Oh well, it’s not the cover that matters! Remember that! ;)

Looooved Jennifer Armentrout’s books! The Covenant series rocks!!

My STS will be up tomorrow, so be sure to stop by!

    Have a GREAT weekend!

    Old Follower :)

    • I wish other colours had been available in the same size :(

Yay! I can’t wait to read J L A’s books! I STILL haven’t read Obsidian o_o it is in my literal TBR pile at the moment though!

    • I am totally going to have a ‘library room’ when I buy a house…

I’ve read mixed reviews about Delirium as well, so I really do hope I like it!

      Thanks for stopping by :)

  2. Awesome books! I have the black covered versions of the Sookie Stackhouse books.
I have run out of book shelf space too. I really need to get another bigger bookshelf. =(

    New follower.
Thanks for stopping by my blog =)

    • I wish I had been able to find better covers for the Sookie Stackhouse books! But the other ones I did find were all small books :(

Same here! One of my books shelves is really small, a taller one could go where it’s sitting now. How I long for one!

      • Yes a couple of the black covered ones are the smaller sized ones, but that didn’t bother me.

Similar thing here, I have an old entertainment unit that I’ve stocked up with books but I’d easily fit larger bookshelf which would house the books I have and still give me room for more. =( I’ll get one eventually. I’m sure you will too! =)

  3. That is one awesome book buying spree! I hate it when books come damaged too, I had a couple with scuff marks on them this week.
I love Delirium and Pandemonium, and I got Pure as well a couple of weeks ago, looking forward to reading it.
There’s no such thing as too many books, lol! ;D

  4. I’ve solved my shelf problem with buying a kindle :)) I know it’s not the same (trust me I know) but I didn’t know what to do with so many books and wanting more of them all the time. Cleaning the dust takes so much time :) Enjoy your reading.

    • :o I can’t fathom giving away books! Mostly because I only ever buy books I really, really, really want and intend on keeping forever! Buuut I have run out of space for them :/

  5. OHHH, Delirium and Pandemonium! *jumps up and down*
I haven’t read the Sookie books yet. Well, that’s not true…I did read books 1 & 2, but never finished the series. I want to get back into them.
Half-Blood was great, especially if you’re a Vampire Academy fan. I haven’t read Pure yet, need to get on that!

    • Ohh I did really liked VA, so I’m hoping this series will be awesome!

I love True Blood, so far I’ve only read the first Sookie book but I’m dying to get to the second one already.

  6. Delirium!! :D
That is one seriously awesome book–I hope you enjoy! :)
I’ve heard such raving reviews about the half blood series, but I still haven’t gotten them yet…
    Thanks for stopping by! :)

    • I’ve heard awesome things about Half Blood as well! So I’m definitely excited to read it! I still haven’t read Obsidian :o But it is in my literal TBR pile right now!

  7. Yay, Sookie Stackhouse books! I think I just finished the 6th one. The yellow covers are part of the new covers that go along with them, I got a picture of them here. They do look quite pretty when you all got them, but just the yellow ones look awful indeed! Hope you enjoy them all though (:

    Happy reading!

    • Ohhh my goodness, the covers you have are gorgeous! I might have to see what I can do to get the other books in the colours to make them all match!
I can’t wait to get onto the second one! Yes, I said second… I’m dying to read them!

    • I’m glad you loved Delirium because I’ve heard lots of mixed reviews about it. I wasn’t going to get it but then I decided, screw it! I want to give it a go!
Ohh I only bought the Covenant series because I’ve heard it’s great and that Jennifer L Armentrout is great, and her Lux series is great (Which I STILL haven’t read…) So I went a head and assumed I would love it. Plus, everyone says it’s like the Vampire Academy by Richelle Mead, and I loved that series. So I’m sure I’ll love this one! Such an impulsive buyer and easy buyer…
That’s awesome you got them signed by Jennifer! So jealous!
