On The List #25

My TBR list gets longer and longer every week, I wanted a way to share those books, so I decided on these posts. I might not exactly be reviewing these books straight away or any time soon, but you never know, I could review them next!
A book I have decided to share On The List this week is:

Eragon by Christopher Paolini

When young Eragon finds a polished blue stone in the forest, he thinks it is the lucky discovery of a poor farm boy; perhaps it will buy his adopted family meat for the winter. But when the stone brings a dragon hatchling, Eragon realizes he has stumbled upon a legacy nearly as old as the Empire itself.

Overnight his simple life is shattered, and he is thrust into a perilous new world of inescapable destiny, magical forces, and powerful people. With only an ancient sword and the instruction of an old, mysterious, hermit storyteller for guidance, Eragon and the fledgling dragon must navigate the dangerous terrain and dark enemies of an Empire ruled by a Emperor whose evil and power knows no bounds.

Can Eragon take up the mantle of the legendary Dragon Riders? The fate of the Empire may rest in his hands….

I really feel like I should have read this one by now. But I haven’t. I cant’ wait to be thrust into this world that everyone raves about!

What’s ‘On Your List’? What books have you just added to be read?

P.s. Check out my giveaway if you haven’t already :)

    • Haha me neither! For some reason I pick up something else just when I think that maybe I should move onto this one. I definitely need to get to it soon though.

Do you usually like fantasy books?

    • Awesome! Yeah, this book feels like it’s a book I’ve been meaning to read for ages yet I still haven’t gotten around to it… I might just request it from the library and get it over and done with haha.

  1. I haven’t read this one either! I’ve heard so many great things about this book but when I read the first 5 pages I got bored. D: Maybe I’ll read a little farther next time. xD

  2. ERAGON was pretty good! Its sequels, though, kind of fell flat. I have a friend who read the entire series and is trying to convince me to wade through the third one (I don’t think I’ll be able to!), but argh. It’s too boring, and that’s really sad. The whole series had a lot of potential. I was quite happy with just reading ERAGON, though!
