They are at the top of their class until Dane jeopardizes everything and Aerin is unintentionally dragged down with him. When the pair is given a joint punishment, an unexpected friendship?and romance begins to form.

But Dane and Aerin both harbor dangerous secrets, and the two are linked in ways neither of them could ever have imagined. . . .

Review

Academy 7 surprised me. I liked this book a lot more than I expected.

Aerin has just managed to escape Vizhan; an X planet that she has lived on since her fathers ship crashed there years ago. Unfortunately her father passed away in the crash leaving Aerin to defend for herself on a planet that treats its people like slaves. Aerin finally manages to escape to her fathers ship which had been left in the field it landed in as a rusted piece of junk, fix it up just enough to leave the planet, and make her escape. Just when Aerin thinks her ship is about to die on her she is discovered by a passing Alliance space ship that saves her life. On this ship they give her a test which qualifies her to attend one of the universe’s best space academies,  Academy 7. As she is from a planet that is not apart of the Alliance she is all too aware she is illegally attending Academy 7, so she makes the most of all that is being taught in case she is found out and must leave.

Dane was brought up as apart of the military, his father being an Alliance General and a Council member, but coming from an abusive family he knows his father would never let him attend Academy 7. So when he finds out he is admitted to the school his older brother was denied from, he expects to be pulled out as soon as his father arrives back from his latest trade meeting. In fact when the time comes he insures to leave in a way that will embarrass is father. unfortunately for him his plan backfires and gets him in trouble, unbeknownst to Aerin whom happens to be in the wrong place and time she is dragged down with Dane and must face his consequences too.

What I loved most about Academy 7 was the world building. It interested me a lot, the political side, the technological side, the way the universe could be, the ideas behind it. I really liked that Aerin wasn’t stupid or a damsel in distress; she was very intelligent and knew how to fight for survival. She rivaled Dane in nearly every way. The relationship between Aerin and Dane grows throughout the story which I loved because it didn’t happen in an instant.

Overall, Academy 7 is a very enjoyable Science Fiction story!
